Don't leave Alaska without catching a KING!

Conveniently located in downtown Anchorage, The Bait Shack is Ship Creek's only bait and tackle shop with a full line of fly rods, spinning rods and casting rods available for rent. We also have waders, bait, tackle and are an authorized vendor for State of Alaska fishing licenses.

Ship Creek fishing is perfect for visitors with limited time in Anchorage – especially those visiting on a cruise, conference attendees, business travelers, and tourists traveling across Alaska. We often have guests with only one day in Anchorage, and have seen novice fishermen catch a king salmon after just 15 minutes on the creek.

Of course, we also love catering to the local fishermen and the loyal Bait Shack following who have been fishing Ship Creek for decades.

Visit with us during the winter months at our warehouse location where we can get you outfitted to chase fish under the ice or you can pick up your new favorite fishing hat. We do offer a great selection of ice fishing equipment that will help you have an awesome time and create lifelong memories on the hardwater

Whether you're a pro or novice fisherman, we have all your needs covered. Call or email us to book your Alaska fishing adventure today.

Tight lines and fish on!
